Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Sr. Human Resources Specialist is responsible for bringing our company story to life and sharing what's possible by learning, building, and growing a career at Sportsman Boats & Phenom Yachts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands that recruiting sales based, is passionate about the company they work for and is willing to go above and beyond to build strong pipelines and develop meaningful employee experiences.

This individual will play a critical role in both attracting talent and enhancing employee engagement and retention, serving as a key driver of our workforce strategy.

What You Will Do
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across exempt & non-exempt roles in a growing environment
  • Proactively source candidates using tools like Indeed Smart Sourcing, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, community networking events, and outreach strategies
  • Utilize proactive communications, text messaging, and follow-up techniques to convert passive candidates
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through continuous sourcing and engagement
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and drive efficient hiring decisions
  • Ensure all recruiting practices align with federal, state, and local compliance standards and company policies

Employer Branding & Outreach

  • Learn and confidently communicate the company’s story, culture, and value proposition
  • Leverage social media, geofencing, and creative outreach strategies to attract talent
  • Create recruiting and engagement materials 
  • Support and enhance the company’s employer brand 

Retention & Employee Engagement

  • Plan and execute employee events, engagement initiatives, and communication campaigns
  • Design and distribute internal newsletters and communications
  • Support programs that strengthen culture, morale, and retention

Programs & Development Initiatives

  • Coordinate and manage training program
  • Schedule and support leadership development and certifications
  • Lead internship program 

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Own and continuously improve the new hire orientation experience
  • Ensure a smooth, organized, and welcoming onboarding process for all employees
  • Launch onboarding development, and engagement surveys

Who You Are 

  • Proven experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or high-volume sourcing
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting process - and the persistence that comes with it
  • Comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and influencing candidates
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience with compliance in recruiting and hiring practices
  • Skilled in communications and marketing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and programs simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, hungry, and driven to exceed expectations

To be considered you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years Recruiting or Human Resources experience 
  • Outgoing, diverse, creative, positive, personable attitude; non-judgmental, open-minded
  • Passionate about helping people; ethical; high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of federal and state HR laws
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced expertise in conducting several types of interviews
  • Ability to cultivate relationships, promote Sportsman Boats & Phenom Yachts and follow up with candidates

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 7 years Recruiting or Human Resources experience
  • HR experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field 
  • Experience working in a self-funded benefits plan
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
